Beef Karahi - 5-6 servings


Ingredients:

Beef boneless(undercut) 1 kg, cut in pieces  

Tomatoes: 6, chopped  

Ginger-garlic paste: 2 tbsp  

Yogurt: 1/2 cup  

Oil/ghee: 1/2 cup  

Red chili powder: 1 tsp  

Karahi masala: 1 tbsp  

Salt: to taste  

Green chilies: 4-6, slit  

Ginger strips + coriander leaves for garnish  


Steps:

1. Heat oil, add beef, ginger-garlic paste, salt. Cook on high 8-10 min till water dries.  

2. Add tomatoes, cover, cook 15-20 min till tomatoes break down. Mash them.  

3. Add yogurt, chili powder, karahi masala. Cook on high, stirring, till oil separates.  

4. Add green chilies, cook 2 min.  

5. Garnish with ginger and cilantro. Serve with naan.


No water needed. The bhuno at the end gives it that rich karahi taste.
