Have you tried Dubai's VIRAL Qishta that's breaking the internet? Also known as Ashta or Kashta, this is the creamiest Arabian clotted cream dessert that literally melts in your mouth. Drizzled with honey and loaded with pistachios - it's heavenly!

No eggs, no gelatin, just 4 ingredients and 10 minutes of active time. This is the exact original recipe from *Thecozyplates* that tastes like Dubai!

INGREDIENTS:

For Qishta Cream:

- Full fat milk - 500 ml (2 cups)

- Heavy / fresh cream - 250 ml (1 cup)

- Cornstarch / Cornflour - 3 tbsp

- Sugar - 3 tbsp

- Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp

- Rose water - 1 tsp (optional but recommended)

For Topping:

- Honey - generous drizzle

- Crushed pistachios

- Dried rose petals

- Honeycomb (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1 - Make Slurry:

Mix cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold milk until smooth with no lumps.

Step 2 - Cook Cream:

In a heavy saucepan, add remaining milk, fresh cream and sugar. Heat on low-medium. Slowly add the cornstarch slurry while continuously whisking. Cook for 4-5 mins until it becomes thick, smooth and creamy like custard.

Step 3 - Flavor:

Turn off heat, add vanilla and rose water.

Step 4 - Bake (The Viral Step):

Pour hot mixture into a small baking dish. Spread evenly (1 to 1.25 inch thick only). Bake at 130°C (265°F) for 40-45 mins until the top gets a very light golden color.

No Oven Method: Place a stand in a large pot/karhai, keep the dish on it, cover with lid and cook on very low flame for 45-60 mins.

Step 5 - Chill:

Let it cool completely, then cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. It will set perfectly.

Step 6 - Serve:

Serve chilled with a generous drizzle of honey, chopped pistachios and rose petals.

PRO TIPS:

1. Don't make layer too thick - max 1.25 inch.

2. Don't over-brown, light golden is enough.

3. Use fresh cream, not sour.

4. Stays fresh for 3 days in fridge.

Storage:

Refrigerate up to 3 days.
