Creamy bombolonies recipe by The Cozy plates

 Bombolonies are Italian filled donuts that are soft, fluffy, and absolutely irresistible! 😋

Ingredients:

- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup warm milk

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 tsp active dry yeast

- 2 eggs

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- Pinch of salt

- Oil for frying


Filling:

- 1 cup pastry cream or custard

- Powdered sugar for dusting

Or Olper's cream  Add sugar and mix well

Steps:

1. Activate yeast: Mix yeast, warm milk, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 mins.

2. Make dough: Combine flour, sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla essence and yeast mixture. Knead until smooth. Let it rise for 1-2 hours.

3. Shape donuts: Roll out dough, cut circles, and let them rise again for 30 mins.

4. Fry: Heat oil  lightly and fry bombolonies on low flame until golden brown.

5. Fill: Use a piping bag to fill with pastry cream or Chocolate

6. Finish: Dust with powdered sugar.
